| About the Mythical Beast Series |

This series utilizes the Ukiyo-e style to depict the forms of each divine beast. The term “Ukiyo” originates from the Buddhist term “ukiyo”（うきよ）, meaning the sorrows of life, which later evolved to mean the fleeting nature of the world. This series presents each divine beast in the basic creative form of “Musha-e,” one of the Ukiyo-e schools from the Edo period. Each divine beast is partially adorned with armor from Japan’s Warring States period, combined with traditional weapons, symbolizing guardians that protect every blessing.

Bai Ze (Chinese Mythical Beast of Wisdom)

The Bai Ze is depicted with the traditional weapon “Spear” and the strategy “Difficult to Aware Like Shadows.” The background, featuring clouds and mist, highlights the Bai Ze’s mysterious, precise, and decisive nature.

The prominent calligraphy of the word “和” (pronounced “wa” in Japanese) on the label symbolizes “peace, reconciliation, and calm” in both Chinese and Japanese.
